All your favourite pop dance tracks mixed in with your hour long dance team building session.
This one has something for everyone.
80s MTV
Get your team vibing with our favourite 80's dance moves and
attitudes . By the end of this session everyone will be Moonwalking like Michael!
Disco Inferno
Your team will be boogying on down with the groovyiest moves this side of the 70's. This
vintage treat packs a seriously funky vintage punch.
90s Mixtape
Did somebody say "Hammer time"? We will have your team
grooving to the freshest 90's anthems with the flyest moves to match.
Line Dancing
This is our fun take on classic country line dancing. Your team will be Yeehawing while we guide them through this energetic session.

Who are we?
Harriet Ritchie, Principal
Famous for her infectious laughter and unstoppable energy, Harriet is Shimmy Shimmy Ya’s Principal and Founder. Harriet discovered dance 32 years ago and hasn’t stopped since. From winning a scholarship and performing all over the world (from New York, Paris and London to Berlin and Seoul) with companies such as The Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Chunky Move, Lucy Guerin Inc and Belvior St Theatre – dancing has always been in Harriet’s blood.
It was this passion for dance that led Harriet to create Shimmy Shimmy Ya: a mobile dance company, making it accessible for people to express themselves through movement. And after years of witnessing these classes empower people and receiving overwhelming amounts of positive feedback – it became clear this model would have a positive impact both in the corporate workplace, and the lives of people living with disability.
Harriet has since designed bespoke dance classes specifically for team building in the workplace and others centred around empowering people living with disability. These classes have been created to provide connection, improve emotional health, and increase self-esteem – achieving the same results in different ways. Classes and choreography can be tailored to any level or group size and are guaranteed to put smiles on your teams’ faces.

Whether you have a particular dance style in mind, or there’s a specific need in your company that you’d like us to help you address – Shimmy Shimmy Ya can create a bespoke dance class package for your team to enjoy. Our instructors specialise in choreography that caters to all abilities and in creating an atmosphere that’s fun and relaxed. We’d love to come and dance with your team.
